Russia is trying to silence foreign media by killing journalists

On August 24, russia attacked the Sapphire hotel in Kramatorsk (Donetsk region, Ukraine), where foreign journalists were staying, with an Iskander-M missile. Reuters employee Ryan Evans was killed, four more media workers were injured (Reuters material here: https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/reuters-staff-hit-strike-hotel-ukraines-kramatorsk-2024-08- 25/). Ryan Evans became the 85th media worker to die in Ukraine as a result of full-scale russian aggression beginning on February 24, 2022. No war in the world has brought so many victims to the journalistic community.

russian war criminals purposefully hunt down foreign journalists. In December 2023 and January 2024, hotels with foreign journalists in Kharkiv were also attacked. In addition, moscow openly threatens journalists who cover the situation in the territory controlled by the Armed Forces of the Kursk Region.
The kremlin has something to hide, so it is not interested in the emergence of objective information from the war zone, so it is trying to silence the foreign media. russia is trying to replace independent journalism from the war zone with its own combat propaganda, using the so-called "warriors" and other russian agents.
