On August 2, a press conference was held for the released and exchanged russian opposition figures Ilya Yashin, Volodymyr Kara-Murza, Andriy Pyvovarov. Their simultaneous statements about the need to ease sanctions against the russian Federation, negotiations with putin, as well as assessments of the russian-Ukrainian war lead to certain conclusions. Because they completely or partially coincide with the narratives of kremlin propaganda.

First of all, the call of the released oppositionists to lift sanctions that harm "ordinary russians" is surprising. All "ordinary citizens of russia" are jointly responsible for the crimes of the regime, because they became an instrument of these crimes without making any effort to stop them. Instead, they condone, justify or silence the kremlin's crimes. Today, almost 80% of russian citizens approve of putin's policies. It is "ordinary citizens" who sign contracts with the terrorist army of the kremlin, and their family members help to purchase the necessary military ammunition, and in their free time attend concerts and festivals in support of the "war in Ukraine".
Ukrainians respect the citizens of the russian Federation, who really fight with words and weapons against kremlin criminals. This tiny percentage of citizens are aware of russia's responsibility for the war and support all measures aimed at physically limiting moscow's ability to wage aggressive wars in the future. Most of them left russia a long time ago, and some joined the ranks of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
We hope that Ilya Yashin, Volodymyr Kara-Murza and Andriy Pyvovarov, being free and having free access to information, will reconsider their position regarding the issues raised. After all, their position was formed before and during imprisonment, where there were not enough opportunities to obtain true information and assess the situation.
