The truth: there is no question of a military takeover of Greenland by the Americans. Even if we assume this, the heavy weapons transferred to Ukraine would not play a decisive role - Denmark's defence budget is almost a hundred times smaller than that of the United States. Denmark's main defence is its membership in NATO. In the event of direct aggression, Denmark would rely on Article Five, which states that an armed attack on one NATO member is considered an attack on all. And the United States, by the way, as a NATO member, is one of Denmark's security guarantors. And it is not appropriate for such a reputable publication as Politico to draw false conclusions.
The situation around Greenland is indeed quite alarming, but it seems to us that this is more psychological pressure from Donald Trump to gain more loyalty to himself in the upcoming negotiations on a new agreement between Denmark and the US on the island.
But russian propaganda is quick to pick up on information and use it to its advantage. In this case, to show the weakness or danger of opponents, and to once again sow doubts about the advisability of further support for Ukraine. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy always insists on all international platforms that all states of the world should first of all use generally accepted international law, agreements, and, of course, the UN Charter to resolve disputes. And support for Ukraine is one of the tracks to return to order and law.
