This manipulation is being replicated in the information space by kremlin media and bloggers. "In recent days, leading European countries and NATO have said that support for Kyiv should increase. This explains that they are actually interested in investing in research and development of new weapons. This will lead to greater economic and military benefits for the region". The propagandists used quotes from EU Defence Commissioner Andrius Kubilius as ‘proof’.

Truth: russian propagandists deliberately manipulate the statements of European Commissioner for Defence and Space Andrius Kubilius to promote their key narratives that ‘russia is always ready for peace’, ‘the West prevents the end of the war while pumping Ukraine with weapons’, ‘Ukraine and the European Union are run by Nazis who have united to destroy russia’.
"Every day that Ukraine fights is a day that the European Union and NATO can grow stronger", said EU Defence Commissioner Andrius Kubilius. He also added that ‘defending Ukraine means defending Europe". Kubilius' quote is correct, but his entire speech was about the fact that russia, as the only aggressor on the European continent, poses a great threat to democratic states if Ukraine fails to defend itself. That is why the EU and NATO should respond to this very real threat by increasing support for Kyiv and spending more on their own defence. 
The kremlin, in turn, is promoting the false message that ‘the war will end as soon as the allies stop supplying weapons to Ukraine’. In this way, the putin regime is trying to mislead some unprincipled EU leaders in order to take over Ukraine without any additional efforts. But how can we respond to this in the twenty-first century? The largest country in the world, with a dictator at the helm and criminals in power, is trying to take over the second largest country in Europe in the most brutal way possible, and the rest of us are just supposed to keep quiet and watch? We all remember what Hitler did after signing the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact in 1939. He attacked Poland. 
All sane people on the planet understand the essence of the putin regime. Any agreement with those who organise genocides and ecocides is a delayed suicide. That is why Ukrainians need modern weapons in large quantities to give a worthy rebuff to the aggressor, who is outnumbered in ‘soldiers’ (in fact, they are ordinary mercenaries), and to discourage him from forcibly moving borders in Europe.
