The Israeli publication Haaretz published a long article on the russian Federation's hybrid war against Israel. In particular, it reveals the scope, depth, cynicism and limits of russian efforts to influence public opinion in the country. The leak, which contains thousands of documents, including emails, internal plans and fabricated articles, offers insight into moscow's efforts to deepen tensions and polarize rival camps in Israel, as well as undermine its relations with other countries and weaken support for Ukraine.

In particular, the seized documents refer to:
- creation of a new political party focused on the Israeli-russian community, which could win "3-4 seats in the Knesset";- cooperation with russian-speaking politicians;- distribution of anti-Ukrainian leaflets in synagogues;- applying provocative graffiti in areas of Israel with a predominantly Arab population.
The documents were leaked from a company called the "Agency of Social Planning" (ASP), which cooperates with the kremlin and was founded in 2017 by Ilya Gambashidze. "The situation in Israel today is ideal for launching a campaign to influence public opinion," reads an internal ASP document. The agency produced 50 Israeli-themed cartoons a month and then distributed them on social networks, as well as about 20 fake articles with relevant comments on resources posing as real sites. Among others, there was a paid advertisement on Facebook with caricatures of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, depicted as burning an Israeli flag.
The agency planned to open an office in Israel with an annual budget of $1.2 million to coordinate activities using its representatives in the country to influence Knesset policy through immigrant politicians from the former USSR. Another key target of influence campaigns were Jews who emigrated from russia to Israel, the United States, and Europe.
