"By sending weapons to Ukraine, the German authorities are violating the settlement agreement regarding Germany following the Cold War. The country needs a new "peace treaty", this, among other things, would help relations with russia", said the German opposition politician Ralf Niemeyer, who maintains ties with the russian authorities.

The Treaty on the Final Settlement concerning Germany, known as the "Two plus Four" treaty, was concluded between the GDR, Germany, France, the USSR, Great Britain and the United States in moscow on September 12, 1990. The agreement established the foreign policy conditions for the unification of Germany and the return of its sovereignty.
In fact, this treaty does not contain any prohibitions on the supply of weapons to third countries. Niemeyer is apparently referring to the text of Article 2: "The Governments of the German Democratic Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany declare that a united Germany will never use the weapons it possesses except in accordance with its constitution and the Charter of the United Nations."
There is no question of preparations for an offensive war in connection with the supply of German weapons to Ukraine: hardly anyone can deny that for Ukraine this is a defensive war. It is also not appropriate to talk about the violation of peace between nations: it was violated by russia when its troops invaded Ukraine. All that remains is an extremely imprecise declarative phrase that "only peace will emerge from German soil." It turns out that by aggressive actions, Niemeier is trying to present the supply of weapons to the party that has been subjected to aggression.
"Opposition politician" Ralph Thomas Niemeyer is a very original figure. For 15 years, he was the husband of Sarah Wagenknecht, who left the "Left" party to create her own, openly pro-Kremlin party. Later, he joined the far-right movement of "Reichsburgers", that is, "citizens of the Reich", which does not recognize Germany, considering it the heir of two occupation regimes.
In December 2022, the leaders of a group that was preparing a coup d'état were arrested. One of the goals of the conspirators was to establish close relations with russia. About 50 "Reichsburgers" were among the organizers of the failed coup. After the arrest of the leaders of the conspiracy, Niemeyer's house was searched, and he himself spoke on the air of the russian channel "RT", where he was presented as an opposition politician. It was reported that the Munich prosecutor's office and the German prosecutor general are investigating Niemeier on suspicion of spreading false statements that could threaten Germany's external security or its relations with another state.
Sevim Dagdelen, a member of the Bundestag from the party "Union of Sara Wagenknecht - For Reason and Justice", also broadcasts russian propaganda in her country: "They hurt themselves again: after 13 packages of sanctions from the European Union, russia's economy is growing, while Germany's is weakening. Instead of ending this raging economic war, the Federal Government approved the 14th package. It's time to stop the crazy politics of the Svitlofor coalition.
But this statement has nothing to do with reality. The nominal GDP of russia is indeed growing, although in the conditions of war this indicator does not give an idea of the increase in the welfare of the country's inhabitants, nor even of the real growth of production. Economist Valery Kizilov wrote about this in detail in The Insider. But Germany's GDP, after a slight decrease, began to grow again. This was stated by the president of the Federal Statistical Office of Germany, Ruth Brand, and the IMF states the same: https://www.imf.org/external/datamapper/OEW%40DPDGN/RUS/DEU
Sevim Dagdelen, who together with Sara Wagenknecht left the "Left" party to found a new, openly pro-kremlin party, was previously distinguished by statements far from reality. Thus, in February 2022, 10 days before the russian attack on Ukraine, she accused the American special services, which warned of an imminent war, of "spreading falsehoods" with the aim of "drawing the world into a murderous war." Even then, at the demonstration in Berlin, she did not blame russia, which had concentrated a large military group near the borders of Ukraine, but Ukraine itself and NATO.
After the war began, Dugdelen co-authored a statement that blamed the attack on the United States. In April 2022, Dagdelen called Germany's agreement to supply heavy weapons to Ukraine an actual entry into the war.
Unfortunately, we are witnessing the growth of far-right political projects in various parts of the world, which for some reason adopt russian propaganda - the information policy of the empire, which has enslaved more than 100 different peoples at different times, and is now committing open genocide in Europe. Why does none of them realize that the only option for "cooperation" with the empire is complete submission to it, serving its interests. Although most likely, for the far-right it is only a method of quick political dividends and financial profits. We are not talking about the security and sovereignty of our country here.We only ask each reader to be critical of far-right populists and always pay attention to who their friends and partners are.
