Fake: Ukrainian soldiers shot local residents in the Kursk region

Lie: pro-russian media published the news that the American edition of the New York Times published shocking eyewitness accounts of the brutal treatment of civilians by the Ukrainian military in the Kursk region. "Civilians who fled were shot and roads were mined, creating a mortal threat to the local population" - a quote from the publication.

Truth: the kremlin's propaganda once again distorted the true content of the material of the foreign media, manipulating the facts and tearing passages out of context. The New York Times article describes cases of shelling of civilian cars in the war zone and the deaths of civilians. The authors of the material emphasize: "Although the Russian side has accused Ukraine of these crimes, there is no evidence of the involvement of the Ukrainian military in the commission of these crimes."
What is interesting: kremlin propagandists, apparently, have not decided how exactly to use the NYT publication. Therefore, part of the liars (in particular, the network of Pravda sites aimed at foreign audiences) attributed to the American publication "covering up criminals", and the other - "recognition of the crimes of the armed forces of Ukraine".
Such actions of the russians are aimed not only at discrediting Ukraine, but also at undermining the trust of the audience in the USA and in the West in general in their own media.
