Ukrainian children. russian news. deportation russia. Putin's crimes. Human Rights Watch
Such materials in the kremlin media are aimed at diverting attention from russia's documented involvement in the abduction of Ukrainian children. russian propaganda, contrary to common sense and real evidence, invents stories about child trafficking by the Ukrainian authorities that have been repeatedly debunked by independent journalists.
Pro-kremlin disinformation outlets try to accuse Ukraine and Western countries of various crimes against children, including large-scale deportations and organ trafficking, without providing any evidence. At the same time, they do not mention russia's role in the mass deportation of Ukrainian civilians, including children, as documented by international investigators and journalists.
In March 2023, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for vladimir putin and russian Children's Commissioner maria lvova-belova for the illegal deportation and transfer of children from the occupied territories of Ukraine to Russia, actions that qualify as war crimes. These abductions were documented by the UN, OSCE, Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, international and some russian (independent) journalists. There is also evidence of official gratitude for the deportations from russian officials themselves.
Currently, about 20,000 Ukrainian children have been forcibly transferred deep into the territory of russia. Most of them are living in terrible conditions of psychological and physical pressure in special camps, being ‘re-educated’ to become "new russians". It is important for the international community to resolutely counteract this shameful phenomenon so that it does not become the norm in the twenty-first century.
