On 1 June, Ukraine launched a covert but powerful attack on 5 military airfields in russia. This operation will go down in history books and completely changes the way we think about modern warfare. In 1 day, russia lost 41 bombers, which is 34% of the kremlin's strategic aviation. Of course, after the day of great shame, the russians intensified their information attacks on Ukraine, accusing it of terrorism. Here are the latest fakes of russian propaganda.

1 fake - Ukraine's attack on russian airfields is terrorism that pushes back the peace deal.

vesti.ru: The terrorist attack could result in the loss of US military support for Ukraine. Ukraine will have to pay a high price. Terrorist attacks on Russian airfields, sanctioned by Zelenskyy, allowed Moscow to gain an advantage during the second round of talks in Istanbul.

A precision attack on military airfields that house bombers that have been regularly bombarding Ukraine for more than 3 years cannot be considered terrorism under international law. This is pure manipulation. It is particularly noteworthy that not a single civilian casualty was recorded. This brazen operation by the Ukrainian secret service is a logical response to the rocket attacks by the russian army, which continue to this day and cause great casualties and destruction in Ukraine. All these cases are recorded by international journalists and prosecutors.

Regarding the talks in Istanbul, the President of Ukraine has repeatedly proposed an agreement on a 30-day complete ceasefire to move to a diplomatic settlement of the conflict with the signing of a peace agreement under the security guarantees of the EU and the United States. As you know, the Kremlin rejected this proposal, choosing to escalate the war. Ukraine has no choice but to escalate its response to the russian invasion.

russia is constantly trying to portray itself as a victim forced to defend itself against Ukrainian Nazis, European Nazis, and NATO.
● Why, then, does the russian army kill civilians, children, and shell residential buildings, religious institutions, and educational and training facilities? ● Why are Ukrainian energy facilities being deliberately destroyed? ● Why is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe (in occupied Enerhodar) being used by the russians as a military base? ● Why did the russian army blow up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station on 6 June 2023, causing the largest artificial eco-disaster on the continent? ● Why has putin's criminal regime abducted more than 20,000 children from the occupied territories and is trying to re-educate them in special camps? Why do russians torture every second Ukrainian prisoner? ● Why is there nothing like this on the territory of russia? And it has never happened in modern history.
2 fake - the attack on russian airfields will not change the course of the war, which Ukraine is losing hopelessly.

This narrative is an attempt to diminish and level the achievements of the Ukrainian defence forces. This operation is the first time in the history of wars when one of the parties destroys 34% of the enemy's aviation potential in 1 day with means thousands of times cheaper than traditional weapons. And for russia, which aims to become a superpower that everyone fears, the loss of 41 strategic bombers is a big blow. It will take decades to rebuild this fleet, even if sanctions are lifted immediately.

As for the course of the war, it is also a popular kremlin narrative about the invincibility of the russian army and the hopelessness of all its opponents. As of today, putin's army is indeed slowly but surely advancing deeper into Ukraine. But the key indicator is the losses incurred by the aggressor country. In addition to the aforementioned aircraft, russia loses more than 1,000 soldiers and hundreds of pieces of military equipment every day. russia loses dozens of air defence systems every week. Military analysts estimate that at this rate, it will take russia about 30 years to occupy half of Ukraine. And it is worth noting that with every successful operation of the Ukrainian defence forces behind enemy lines, the pace and power of the russian army decreases. That is why it is so important that the European Union, the United States and other countries that care about the end of this war support Ukrainians as much as possible, both technically and with additional sanctions against russia.

This is exactly what Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been saying all along. russia will never stop until it meets a force that causes it more losses than itself. That is, the situation for the kremlin does not look very bright. Since 2022, russia has not had any strategic successes on the battlefield. There is indeed a view among military experts that Ukraine's strengthening with weapons, supported by new powerful sanctions, could change the course of the war in moscow's favour. And then the russian government will be forced to start serious negotiations or the russian army will flee, as it already did in the autumn of 2022.
3 fake - the advantage is now on Moscow's side.

"By carrying out a terrorist attack against Russian airfields, Volodymyr Zelenskyy has completely discredited Ukraine and given Moscow the upper hand in the Istanbul talks," political commentator Clara Statello wrote in an article for L'Antidiplomatico.

To put it mildly, L'Antidiplomatico is not very well known in Italy. The site mainly publishes articles about the war between russia and Ukraine and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, ignoring news about Italy (which is surprising for a media outlet targeting Italians).

Fact-checkers have repeatedly refuted L'AntiDiplomatico's reports. For example, the Italian fake news website BUTAC caught L'AntiDiplomatico spreading disinformation that employees of American non-profit organisations were allegedly trafficking Ukrainian children. L'AntiDiplomatico also claimed that there were no massacres of civilians by russian soldiers in Izyum and Bucha, wrote about US biolabs in Ukraine, and much more.

The L'AntiDiplomatico website is registered in the name of Alessandro Bianchi, an associate of Alessandro Di Battista, a former member of the populist 5-Star Movement party. He has long-standing ties to the kremlin and frequently visits russia. All that remains is to add a few words about the journalist who wrote the article about Zelenskyy's "strategic loss". Clara Statello is an employee of the russian state-run sputnik news agency, and on Facebook she lists the city of Grozny as her place of residence.

Results 1: 5 days after the operation, none of Ukraine's partners announced a reduction in support. On the contrary, Germany and Norway are increasing their defence support, and the European Union is increasing funding for programmes aimed at strengthening Ukraine's defence forces.

Results 2: On 6 June, russia once again shelled Ukraine, firing more than 60 missiles and more than 400 combat drones. Civilian casualties were again recorded, as well as extensive damage to civilian infrastructure. There are cases when the russian army shelled one residential neighbourhood several times, killing rescuers who immediately arrived to save people and put out fires. Show me something similar on the territory of russia. You won't find it. Because for putin's criminal regime, all Ukrainians - from children to the elderly - are terrorists and Nazis. Even if they just sleep in their homes at night or go to work in the morning
P.S. The photo shows rescuers in Kyiv mourning the death of their colleague on the night of 6 June.
