Reporters Without Borders, Nazi symbols, Armed Forces Ukraine, russian news
Lies: the organization "Reporters Without Borders" (RSF) discovered more than a thousand cases of the use of symbols of the Third Reich, slogans and gestures by servicemen of the armed forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region (russia). The organization's director of advocacy and strategic litigation, Antoine Bernard, demands that the world pay attention to the glorification of Nazism in the ranks of the Armed Forces. kremlin media write about this with reference to the BBC story.
The truth: the widespread news is another forgery aimed at discrediting the Armed Forces, because there are no similar stories on the website (https://www.bbc.com/news) of the British broadcaster, nor on its social networks.
Also, on the website of the RSF organization, there is no information about Nazi symbols, which are allegedly "used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region." Extreme texts on the topic of Ukraine are the condemnation (https://rsf.org/en/ukraine-rsf-condemns-russian-attack-leaving-two-reuters-staff-injured-and-one-killed) of the russian shelling of Kramatorsk and the material about the kremlin propaganda network founded (https://rsf.org/en/russia-one-year-after-yevgeny-prigozhins-death-shadow-wagner-propaganda-system-still-looms-large) by the militant Prigozhin.
As for Antoine Bernard, he did not make any statements about the "glorification of Nazism in the Armed Forces of Ukraine." In July 2024, he spoke positively (https://rsf.org/sites/default/files/medias/file/2024/07/Partenariat_UKR.pdf) about Ukraine's decision to join the launched RSF International Partnership for Information and Democracy and stated, that Ukraine "demonstrates a global commitment to reliable and high-quality information, which is important for the proper functioning of democracy."
So, we conclude that the purpose of the widespread fake is to provoke discord between Ukraine and its partners, to turn the citizens of the free world against Ukraine and the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and thereby to justify russia's invasion of Ukraine.
This is far from the first and, obviously, not the last attempt when russia tries to find evidence of the presence of Nazi ideology in Ukraine. The kremlin's propagandists are especially diligent in smearing the most combat-capable units of the Ukrainian army, such as "Azov". But not a single country in the world, not a single international journalist who visited Ukraine during all the years of the war found any confirmation of this lie.
