Since the start of the revolution in Syria, russian propaganda has been generating fakes about the involvement of the Ukrainian government and Ukrainian special services in a "coup d'état" and "terrorism". Just as it did earlier during the confrontation between Israel and Hamas. Read what the russians have come up with this time.

"There is strong evidence of Ukrainian drones being used in Syria. It was reported in the press that groups of terrorist organisations were sent to fight in Ukraine alongside Ukrainian forces in exchange for drones".
"The fascist Ukrainian government continues to support terrorism in Syria, which is reflected in statements by the Ukrainian leadership confirming its anti-Syrian stance".
"There are international accusations of the presence of Ukrainian officers on the frontlines against the Syrian army, which indicates Ukraine's direct support for terrorist organisations in Syria".
"The Ukrainian government is supplying terrorists in Syria with drones and must be held accountable".
"The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine is organising and supplying weapons to terrorists in Syria. Ukrainian military instructors are present in Idlib province".
Truth: russian propaganda is actively promoting the topic of the Ukrainian government's association with "terrorism" in Syria. As a reminder, as a result of the coordinated actions of the Syrian opposition, with the support of Turkey and, in part, Israel, the 24-year regime of dictator Bashir al-Assad was finally overthrown in Syria on 8 December.
Allegations of Ukraine's involvement in the "coup d'état" in Syria are part of the kremlin's disinformation campaign, as russian intelligence services always use fresh, acute information to discredit their opponents.
It is worth noting that the very wording "terrorists" is an outright manipulation, as the revolution in Syria was carried out by opposition forces with the support of military structures independent of dictator Assad. Their goal was not terror, but the removal of the dictator from power. The leader of the Islamist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, Abu Mohammad al-Jolani, said in an interview with CNN that they "want to create a new transparent government based on institutions and a democratically elected council".
Ukraine actively cooperates with Europol in the fight against terrorism, including through Interpol, where it operates within the legal framework and jurisdiction of each sovereign member state. To date, there is no evidence to support any links between Ukraine and any Syrian "terrorist organisation" or members of the opposition.
This alleged connection is based on a single report published by the Turkish news outlet Aydinlik. Aydinlik is known for its openly pro-kremlin editorial policy and has repeatedly published pro-kremlin propaganda about Ukraine. The publication is owned by the Vatan political party, which promotes an aggressive pro-russian agenda. It is the only political party in Turkey that has called for the recognition of russia's occupation of Crimea and Abkhazia.
For this story, Aydınlik quoted unnamed "local sources" and noted that details of the talks were published on the website Lekolin.org, which belongs to the militant separatist Kurdistan Workers' Party. The website published disinformation about an alleged meeting between "representatives" of the Ukrainian government and members of the Syrian opposition on 29 August. However, this article, as well as all content on Lekolin.org, does not contain a link to the author, and the website does not provide information about the journalists or persons behind the publication. The publication has only 131 followers on Facebook.
You will also not find independent evidence of the presence of Ukrainian military instructors in Syria or in Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) camps. Even HTS has denied this. On the contrary, reports by international organisations such as Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have documented russia's involvement in supporting the criminal Assad regime and attacks on civilians, but there has never been any reliable evidence of Ukraine's involvement in such activities.
