Fake: Olena Zelenska's foundation sells children

Russian propaganda, Olena Zelenska, deporting Ukrainian children, russian news

A lie: over the past three years, more than 51,400 Ukrainian children have gone missing from refugee detention centers in Europe. And many of them may become victims of the "concern" of the Zelenska Foundation. Such information is promoted by russian propagandists through Telegram channels, on the X network and controlled media.

At the end of 2023, "human rights defenders of the russian Fund for Combating Repression" spread the rumor that the "Olena Zelenska Foundation" is a key link in Ukrainian child trafficking to Western countries. At that time, the russian mass media relied on the material of The DC Weekly. This publication, which spread such a "sensational exposure", is not trustworthy, but it is often quoted by the russian mass media.

First, the authors of The DC Weekly articles are fake. In particular, the biography of Jessica Devlin, who allegedly wrote the material about Zelenska's foundation, is fictitious (the journalist is called outstanding and recognized, but even Google does not know anything about her). And the photo in her profile is actually the writer Judith Batalion.

As for the article itself, it uses a video with the alleged testimony of the driver of the Zelenska Foundation as evidence. However, it looks like another fake of dubious quality - the man is not visible behind the mask and hood, he speaks French.

Now journalists have recorded a new wave of spreading this fake through social networks and the alleged Spanish media NewsFront. In fact, the "Spanish" publication is a Spanish-language version of the russian propaganda media NewsFront with a .su domain, which operates in russia, although it positions itself as an international media outlet.
There is no evidence that Zelenska's foundation is trafficking in children. They are invented by the enemy in order to discredit the Ukrainian authorities and public leaders of Ukraine in general. At the same time, the International Criminal Court has real evidence that russia is deporting Ukrainian children. One of the warrants for the arrest of the dictator putin concerns precisely this issue. But the russians are trying to transfer the "hot topic" to Ukraine with their fakes, because they simply do not have honest methods to protect themselves.
