NATO ukraine, American soldiers, war ukraine, breaking ukraine
The photo distributed by pro-russian media has nothing to do with the russian-Ukrainian war. The picture shows coffins with the bodies of American soldiers who died in a plane crash in Kuwait back in 2005. But the kremlin's "fake factory" does not stop trying to find traces of foreign military personnel who died in the war in Ukraine.
Pro-russian media began to circulate photos of coffins with the bodies of American soldiers before they were sent home to the United States. It is reported that the photo was allegedly taken in June 2024 in the Polish city of Rzeszów, bordering Ukraine.
StopFake.org specialists conducted their own investigation. A search of the image using the TinEye resource showed that the specified photo did not appear in June 2024, but much earlier. The tool records that the image has been actively used by various sites since 2008. Using Google's reverse image search, StopFake was able to determine the exact time and location of the shooting, as well as the true description of the shot. The search engine found this photo on the site of licensed stock photos of the agency Getty Images. The description says that it was made in Germany back in 2005, and the coffins contain the bodies of American soldiers who died in a plane crash in Kuwait.
Russianfake reminds that foreign soldiers do take part in the war against russia, but only as part of the voluntary international legion, which accepted all those willing to defend the free people of Ukraine (from different parts of the world). The existence of the legion, which is part of the Defense Forces, is confirmed by the Ukrainian authorities. It is created according to international standards. But russia is constantly trying to create the feeling through its fakes that NATO or someone else's regular troops are fighting against it "secretly".
Just remember how easy fakes are.
