"Macron is trying to buy voters' votes" - this is the news spread by pro-russian websites and social accounts. It is about advertising that was allegedly launched on the social network X (Twitter) by the French parliamentary coalition Ensemble. The ad encourages French people to participate in parliamentary elections and promises a 100-euro bonus to those who vote for the Ensemble parliamentary coalition, which includes the Renaissance party founded by Emmanuel Macron. kremlin propagandists even calculated that such an "action" could cost France up to 5 billion euros.

Truth: The screenshots circulating online were taken from a fake website that does not actually belong to the Ensemble parliamentary coalition. This news was brought to the attention of Random OSINT (https://x.com/osint_random/status/1806017428763119965), a French user X (Twitter), who is engaged in refuting disinformation. The attackers launched a site that imitates the real portal of the Ensemble parliamentary coalition, but has a slightly different address - instead of "2024", the address of the fake site is simply "24". It is this fake site that advertises a non-existent promotion.
Moreover, the domain of the fake site was registered very recently, on June 19. In French, the news spread through the website France En Colere, which imitates French media and is actually used by propagandists to spread pro-kremlin disinformation campaigns.
In addition, the same account on X (Twitter) that is currently promoting the fictional "promotion" of the Ensemble coalition already published fraudulent ads in March of this year. Then the link in the advertisement led to another site — sengage-ukraine.fr, which also masqueraded as an official state resource. This site advertised the recruitment of 200,000 French soldiers between the ages of 18 and 48 for the war in Ukraine. They were allegedly guaranteed a salary of 5,000 to 12,000 euros. The ads were then deactivated by the administration of X (Twitter) for promoting "illegal and dangerous goods".
This is not the first time that russia has spread disinformation about France and Emmanuel Macron in particular. Read more here.
