Argentina's President. Zelenskyy. russian propaganda
kremlin supporters and social media users have started spreading false information that Argentina's President, Javier Milei, has deleted all photos of him and Ukraine's President, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This decision was allegedly made after a dispute between Zelenskyy and US President Donald Trump at the White House on 28 February.
True: The President of Argentina, Javier Milei, did not delete the photos he shared with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy. All the photos they shared are available on the official and personal social media pages of the Argentine president.
After this information was spread, StopFake decided to check all the photos with Zelenskyy on Milei's official pages. As expected, this information is not true. StopFake found joint photos of the two presidents on the official website of the Argentine president. The last photo was taken at a coordination meeting between Milei and Zelenskyy in Davos on 22 January 2025, which is the last time they were seen together. The same photo is also available on the official Facebook and Instagram pages of the Argentine president.
In addition to the photos, Milei's pages also offer a video of the "warm meeting" between the two presidents at the World Peace Summit, which took place in Switzerland on 15 June 2024.
You can also see photos of Milei and Zelenskyy together on the Argentine leader's personal social media pages. For example, Milei's Instagram page has a photo of the meeting from 22 January 2025. There is also a photo with Zelenskyy about the Ukrainian state decoration "Order of Freedom" from 15 June 2024.
The only personal page of Javier Milei where StopFake did not find photos of the two presidents together is the X network. However, it should be noted that the Argentine president publishes much less information there. Apparently, the news that the Argentine president has deleted all photos with Zelenskyy is an invention of russian propaganda to discredit the Ukrainian leader.
