Pro-russian sources spread information that a 28-year-old Ukrainian was allegedly involved in the murder of a volunteer at the Olympic Games in Paris. The publications say that the man has already been detained, his name is not being disclosed in the interests of the investigation. Reports that a citizen of Ukraine was allegedly involved in the girl's murder are untrue.

Truth: The murder of a 21-year-old girl became known after the closing ceremony at the Stade de France, where she worked and was accredited for the event. The French publication RTL Info writes that their source in the police confirmed that the main suspect in the murder case is a 49-year-old man with whom the victim had been dating for two years. The same publication reports that, according to their police sources, the suspect is a migrant from Nigeria. The Valeurs publication confirms this information - they draw attention to the fact that the Nigerian citizen has previously been detained by the police for minor offenses. For their part, Le Parisien journalists managed to establish that the man worked in the field of public catering as part of the Olympics, and could not explain the reasons for his act.
It is worth noting that the information that a citizen of Ukraine may have been involved in the girl's murder was spread exclusively by pro-russian resources that regularly spread misinformation. The purpose of such messages is to discredit Ukrainians who are forced to live abroad due to russian aggression against Ukraine.
