A lie: the ex-prime minister of Great Britain, Boris Johnson, called on Ukraine to refuse to go to the borders of 1991 (that is, from the temporarily occupied Donbass and Crimea). In addition, he proposes to grant rights to the russian-speaking population as compensation for russian president putin. Pro-russian media resources write about this with reference to Johnson's article for the Daily Mail.

Truth: in a column on the Daily Mail columns, Boris Johnson wrote (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13652007/BORIS-JOHNSON-convinced-Trump-strength-bravery-save-Ukraine-end-appalling- war.html) like this: "putin will have to retreat to at least the pre-invasion borders in 2022, and to avoid future conflict and uncertainty, the rest of Ukraine must be recognized as a free country, able to choose its own destiny in the EU and NATO, and absolutely welcome to join as soon as possible."
Therefore, Boris Johnson's article does not mention the call "to refuse to return to the borders of 1991". russian propaganda twisted the British politician's statements to their advantage, turning him into a repeater of kremlin narratives.
Johnson also wrote in his column that "special protection may be provided for russian-speakers [in Ukraine]." However, this is also not a call, but only a theoretical assumption. Also, Johnson's column is his personal opinion only. Propagandists are trying to exaggerate the significance of this publication, positioning it as a "programmatic document" made public by "Zelenskyi's main Western ally."
The kremlin is desperately looking for supporters and allies of its own "peace plan" - that is, the freezing of the war on the current front line, because only with such a schedule will the russians be able to "sell" this shameful war as a success (the capture of new territories). And, as we can see, supporters are created artificially, through manipulation and deception. Because, in fact, no one officially at the level of the leaders of democratic states supported the russian "peace plan" (of course, this circle does not include Iran, Belarus, North Korea).
Another reason why russia is in a hurry to end the war on its own terms is hidden in the terrible state of the economy and, as a result, the inevitable weakening of the army. If these data are correct, then from the beginning of 2025 big problems await the kremlin, including at the front (today they are still somehow trying to advance the Defense Forces of Ukraine despite huge losses). Of course, if China does not finally choose the side of putin's criminal regime and does not increase the supply of critical equipment or ready-made weapons.
This means only one thing: right now, the entire civilized world, on the contrary, should increase the pressure on the kremlin, and not give it hopes of "forgiveness", because otherwise the "axis of evil" in the form of authoritarian regimes with sick intentions with new forces and resources will spread chaos and bloody conflicts on our planet.
