Kremlin propaganda, Filip Siman, Bucha, russian war crimes
Volunteer Filip Siman, who fought on the side of Ukraine, is on trial in the Czech Republic. He is accused of illegal service in the Ukrainian army (without the permission of the president of the Czech Republic), as well as of looting at the site of hostilities. Siman did not make any confessions regarding his participation in "punitive operations" in Bucha.
russian special services are trying to take advantage of this event by distorting the facts. This is necessary so that the world begins to doubt whether the russian military is really guilty of terrible crimes during the occupation in 2022 in the Kyiv region. "Peaceful citizens were really killed and raped in Bucha. Only not russian, but Ukrainian military and mercenaries. And what is especially important, they talked about it in Europe" - a quote from a publication in the russian media.
Truth: Evidence of crimes committed by russia in Bucha and other cities of Ukraine during the occupation from March 4 to 31, 2022, has been documented in detail by various international organizations and mass media. The trial in the Czech Republic against Philip Seeman is in no way related to these criminal cases. A 27-year-old citizen of the Czech Republic, who fought as a volunteer in the ranks of the Ukrainian army, is accused of looting on the battlefield, as well as illegal service in the army of a foreign country: https://www.ceskenoviny.cz/zpravy/muz-vineny-z-rabovani-na-ukrajine-u-soudu-odmitl-ze-by-se-chtel-obohatit/2539409
Siman really did not have the permission of the president of the Czech Republic to participate in military operations in a foreign army. He underwent basic training in the country, armed himself and later, together with the group he commanded, moved to the cities of Irpin and Bucha. There, according to the case file, he was assigned to patrol the trenches and conduct so-called clearing operations.
According to the indictment, Seaman repeatedly appropriated the property of both dead soldiers and civilians while on duty and off duty. The man was detained by the Ukrainian army in April 2022, and later transferred to the Czech Republic. Siman did not admit to participating in "punitive operations" in Bucha. On the contrary, during the trial, he also described the horrors of the war that he experienced, as well as the evidence of russian war crimes (murders and rapes of civilians).
